Worldscapes: The Art of Erró

Worldscapes is the first major American survey of the work of Erró, an acclaimed contemporary Icelandic painter now living in Paris. A firm believer that more is better, Erró moved Pop art into its Baroque phase. Deploying a kaleidoscope of cartoon characters, art icons, and political figures, Erró creates colorful, jam-packed postmodern history paintings that comment on pressing political issues with imagination and urgency—while triggering profound questions about the nature of contemporary life.
